Broad Haven and Bosherston, June 2001
The top end of the sandy expanse of Broad Haven beach is where you can amble through to the Bosherston Lilly Ponds, part of the old Stackpole Estate. Now in the hands of the National Trust, the expanses of clear freshwater ponds sport vast numbers of water plants and wildlife, providing a delightful waterside walk. The rich supply of fish keep the local heron population well provided for, if you are lucky you'll see one of these magnificent birds keeping a watchful eye on the waters for their next meal.
