St Govan's Chapel near Stackpole, September 1984
This marvellous little thirteenth century chapel dedicated to St Govan, was built on the site of an earlier building and appears to almost grow from the rocks. St Govan (or Cofen) was, according to legend, being hunted by persecutors, when the rock opened up and closed behind him, hiding him until the pursuers had gone and once he was released, the rock never closed up again.
